Name OriginThis is a combined form of the Spanish word "siete" (seven) and the English word "entertain."
DescriptionIntroduced in September 2003 as a new type of minivan, the Sienta had three rows of seats and could accommodate seven passengers despite its compact body dimensions of 4,100 mm in length, 1,695 mm in width, and 1,670 mm in height. It came with rear sliding doors on both sides, and the left rear door could be switched to a power door equipped with the "easy closer" mechanism on some grade models. The third-row seats could be stowed without removing the headrests to flexibly create extra luggage space as necessary. A tire repair kit rather than a spare tire was standard-equipped with the 4-wheel-drive (4WD) model, providing adequate space to accommodate third-row passengers.
Both the front-engine, front-wheel-drive and 4WD models were powered by a 1.5-liter engine (1NZ-FE). The former had a continuously variable transmission (CVT), and the latter came with a 4-speed automatic transmission. In August 2005, an automatic headlamp leveling system was adopted for models with optional discharge headlamps to reduce the glare for drivers in the opposite lane. (Models with halogen headlamps came with a manual headlamp leveling system.) グレード / 車両型式 2WD・1.5VVT-i・G UA-NCP81G-KWXGK 2WD・1.5VVT-i・X UA-NCP81G-KWXEK 4WD・1.5VVT-i・X UA-NCP85G-KWPEK |
